 Introduction

A vision received by Eileen Caddy which illustrates the shift in consciousness required to move from the old laws of manifestation to the new laws:

“I was shown an artist standing looking at a most beautiful landscape. To create that scene on canvas he had to use paint and brushes, and it had to be done stroke by stroke.

Then I was shown a photographer looking at the same scene. With just a click of the camera the scene was imprinted on paper.

I was told that this illustrates the difference between the old and the new laws of manifestation.”

Part One

Chapter One:  What is Manifestation? (pp.11-14)

“Manifestation is not magic. It is a process of working with natural principles and laws in order to translate energy from one level of reality to another.”

 1. “…manifestation is a change of form or state or condition of being; it is not the creation of something out of nothing.”

 2. “…manifestation deals with a great deal more than just finance… One can manifest ideas, states of being, health, as well as tangible objects.”

 3. “…we often think of manifestation as a process of ‘bringing things down’, of giving form and definition to abstract qualities. Yet manifestation can just as easily be a means of elevating and lifting, of raising the physical into the spiritual.”

 4. “manifestation is a process of releasing a potential.”

 5. “…manifestation is not something that is highly esoteric or spiritual, a complex process that can be worked by only a few special people. It is something we all do all the time though our thinking, our feeling, our actions, our very living.”

Chapter Two:  The Levels of Manifestation. (pp.15-27)

“There are four levels of manifestation and of the consciousness to work its laws”. (Physical, emotional, mental and soul levels.)

“Will is generated through the relaxed yet single-pointed use of the imagination to form an image and to summon all the forces of consciousness to flow into and through that image for a certain period of time.”

“…will-power is regarded as a key element in the processes of manifestation as directed from levels of the mind.”

“The essential nature of this kind of will-power is that it does not dominate or manipulate; it clarifies and vibrates through a situation, making possible the revelation and unfoldment of the perfect divine pattern inherent in that moment. It strikes a note to which lesser sounds can align themselves to form the chord of manifestation. It is like a magnetic field around which iron filings can arrange themselves. It is like a sound wave that causes sand particles to form geometric patterns corresponding to crystalline properties potential within them.”

“Another useful seed-thought for further meditation is the esoteric association of the energy of divine will with the creative spirit and essence of Beingness itself. That quality which, in one of its aspects, we call ‘will’ is at the core of existence itself, lying at the heart of the mystery of ‘Divinity’ and of the primal manifestation of creation.”

“In this sense, we might say that many forms of manifestation (if not all) consist really of a process of stripping away that which prohibits or clouds realization of what is there, rather than in drawing something to us. The core of ‘working the laws’ is basically an overcoming of the illusion of separation, an overcoming of the limitations of the personality consciousness.”

“Will creates through revelation of what is the nature of the Source and the Centre, the ultimate authority. Rather than acting as a pressure upon the surface of things, it acts as a magnet drawing the comparable divine nature from out of the heart of things.”

“True will is born from right identification.”

“It has been said that the secret behind intuitive manifestation is simply TO BE. This is true, but this must be understood as referring to “Soul BEING”, the state of consciousness that is one with the Whole, one with God, one with its greater self.”

Chapter Three:  The Old Versus the New Laws of Manifestation.

(pp.29-36)

“The growth of Findhorn has largely been based on the application of the laws of manifestation. For many years these laws were expressed as follows: Give up all of the little self so that one can have a clear vision of the will of God and of what constitutes a true need and not simply a personality desire. Look to God and God alone to meet that need. Have a precise vision or idea of what is to be manifested, if necessary sharing that vision so that all involved in the process have the same idea and are united in their thought and imagination. Ask once, knowing in faith that the need is being perfectly met. Give thanks that this is so and release it. If action is required, go ahead in faith, keeping in mind the positive thought and image of the need being met. When the manifestation occurs, give thanks again. Realize that what you have manifested is not your possession but is part of God placed under your care and trust. Treat all you have as if you were their custodian, willing to release them when their work is done. Care for all you have with love and skill, recognizing them as gifts from God.”

“On 9th June 1971 and later on 17th June 1971, the Master who is the Lord of Civilization (often known by the identity he assumed during the period of the French Revolution: St. Germain) communicated with the community and described what He called the ‘new laws of manifestation’.  In essence these laws represent the processes of manifestation conducted from Soul levels… Inherent in an understanding of these ‘new laws’ is a redefinition of the terms, Abundance, Need and Manifestation.”

 Abundance

“Viewed by the personality, abundance is a measure of quantity. It means plenty, a multiplicity of things and forms. To the Soul, however, abundance is a quality. It means the One Essence within all things…

 Need

“…by seeing needs as forms which we must manifest, we equally see them as forms which we do not have. This encourages a sense of lack, an acceptance of ‘not-having’ that prevents our attunement to a consciousness of abundance. Second, by defining manifestation…as a process of bringing things into visible form…into concrete reality…we limit manifestation to being simply a process of materialization, of attracting things which are external to us.

[In fact:] Being a spiritual process, manifestation is only successful if it results in a change of consciousness.”

 Manifestation

“Manifestation is in essence creation and its laws are basically laws of creativity. To be a true manifestor, man must redefine himself from being a receiver into being a true divine creator.”

“The ‘new laws’ of manifestation represent a call to penetrate more deeply into the mystery of one’s being. …Basically they state that each man is one with the Whole, one with God. He is a portal through whom God can manifest; he can incarnate the Divine, for divinity is his own essential Beingness. Because of this, within himself is the essence of all things, therefore he need feel no lack. What he must do is to BE, to manifest divinity, then he will attract to himself automatically whatever he needs at any given moment to assist and increase that manifestation.”

“In a sense the new laws of manifestation are not laws at all; they represent an attitude, a shift of identity and consciousness, which then permit the old laws to be used to a more divinely effective degree. There should be no conflict between the levels of consciousness and manifestation.”

“…the new laws represent a state of consciousness and identification which can use the old laws as required but with greater power, effectiveness, quality and revelation.”

Chapter Four:  Working the Law. (pp.38-44)

“The process of working the Law of Manifestation may be divided up for easier discussion into four stages: Right Identification, Right Imagination, Right Attunement, and Right Action.”

Right Identification is knowing that one is divine Spirit, at one with the Whole, one with abundance… It comes from stripping away from one anything that would obscure one’s true identity, that would wrap oneself in illusion and glamour. This will require a discipline, but it is important to remember that a true discipline is never a restriction, only an affirmation. To discipline means to learn, to affirm the true vision of identity so strongly that anything else falls away…”

Right Imagination “is right identification of the need itself and the formation through the attunement of the Soul of the proper image which will concentrate the creative energies and allow them to take form on some level.”

“If a person is rightly identifying himself with his Soul reality, his oneness with the Whole, then he will not see a need as a form alone, something which he lacks; he will see it as an opportunity, an opening through which God can reveal himself.”  (!)

“The starting point for creativity is Silence. …Thus the first step in Right Imagination is Meditation. …He must know that within himself is the fulfilment of that need and he must identify with that fulfilment, allowing it, like a seed, to build up energy within him.”

Right Attunement means the alignment of the personality to the vision generated through Right Imagination and the working of creative laws to give that vision form.”

“…Right Attunement means the aligning of the emotions to the intuitive knowing, which generates the energy of faith. This is not blind faith, based on simple trust in God; it is the powerful conviction born of knowledge. …This generally means the release of enthusiasm, of positivity, of energy to work and to accomplish. This energy is then available to the creative process, the inner plane Builders, to use in accomplishing the manifestation. …It means that one manifests in harmony with one’s surroundings, not in spite of them.”

Right Action “means the willingness and ability to do whatever is necessary on physical levels to bring the manifestation about, to assist the birth process of the divine will which the need represents.”

“One other aspect of Right Action is very important: this is giving thanks for what one has received and then loving and caring for the manifestation, using it with skill and wisdom.”

 Part Two: Appendices

Chapter Six:         The Old Laws at Work. – Peter Caddy (pp.63-70)

  1. Will

“We have to develop our own will so that we can do anything we wish, and then give that will up so that we only manifest God’s will.”

  1. Obedience and discipline

“It is no good hearing an inner voice or getting an inner prompting if you do not immediately act on that inner prompting.”

  1. Manifestation

“I had to learn a lesson that was of vital importance to my future, to learn to be dependent on God and God alone to meet my needs.”

  1. Patience, Persistence and Perseverance ....
  2. Precision...To manifest something it is necessary to state exactly what is required.
  1. Unity

The whole group must be united and clear in the perception of what needs to be manifested.

  1. Gratitude

“Both the nature spirits and the devas have stressed the necessity of gratitude. Gratitude opens the door to further giving.”

“If one does not express gratitude, the supply is cut off.”

  1. Faith

“If you keep on praying for a thing, you put into operation the reverse laws. …It’s quite simple. If you keep praying for a thing, it shows you have not got the faith. You need ask only once and then go ahead in faith.” (Andrew Glazewsky.)

“All must be given up, then all can be given from God’s limitless supply to meet our needs perfectly.”

“What is manifested must be for the whole and not just for the self.”

“If our needs are not met perfectly, we have limited God is some way.”

Chapter Seven:  The New Laws of Manifestation.  - Transmission through Spangler from Lord of Civilisation.  (pp.72-83)

“You will understand that the teachings of the occult brotherhood are in no fashion ultimate truths but represent the particular media chosen for the communication of Divine ideas and ideals to the race of mankind, and for the growth in learning the skills of soul which are essential. That which is required by one grade becomes surpassed in the higher grades, and if the discipline proper to one level of initiation is held to and utilized by a higher initiate, he will limit himself. …I particularly want to mention those laws of demonstration and manifestation which I myself have given to you in training, for you move to a time when those laws are no longer applicable.”

“The new pattern cannot function fully for any consciousness that perceive itself separate from its source, hence meek in its knowing. …Abundance will not rush in upon it until its consciousness is so equally expanded that it does not fear and is not threatened by such abundance.”

“In the consciousness of the new you reach a point where you do not ask. You know that it is there, and it is there. …so deep, so complete, so infinite is the love which you feel with the Beloved that just as you would supply, even before it is asked for, all that is needed by God, so He provides all you need, even before you become aware of it.”

“I will seek to explain certain of the laws that are operative here. When you hold in your mind a picture to be manifested and you visualize it, then you project out in consciousness the force of will, of knowing, which impresses this upon the ether, upon the sensitive magnetic field, where it takes reality. …It will then attract to itself what it needs to come into form. …But you will increasingly find that the form that is manifested is not always the most useful for the total need, though it may be quite useful for the specific need.”

“The law of manifestation which operates on a next higher octave of consciousness, is one in which the being perceives the need and perceives the fulfilment of the need within himself and within his environment; does not project a picture, a visualization, but instead establishes within himself a centre of knowing that that particular need, or indeed that all needs are being drawn forth perfectly from the environment or from the Whole. …You do not create a mould into with the energies must flow; rather you become that consciousness, that could and those energies that are proper will be attracted to you until you reach a still higher level where you perceive no need whatsoever, only at all times perfect fulfilment.”

“The greater laws of manifestation work for that one who has demonstrated to his own being and to God that he is responsible; that he is one with the whole, not in sacrifice but in fulfilment and that he can accept creative freedom.”

“When you work in opposition to the massed thought forms of the past and of your culture to bring forward the new…you must anchor yourself securely into your own divine identity and consciousness and attunement. To do this, you have to go through a process of being cleansed, of being stripped away from the accumulations of your culture upon you…”

“God seems like a tightrope across a gorge to many, when actually He is a wide highway along which you can travel at any speed you wish.”

“We are not training you in manifestation, we are training you to recognize manifestation. There is quite a difference. We are not training you to be able to produce things, we are training you to recognize the eternal process of production that is all about you so that you can do it because you are it.”

Chapter Eight:  Manifestation and Finance.  - Transmission through Spangler from a being known as John, 17 May 1972  (pp.85-90)

“Faith is not hope. Faith is another form of perception which allows an individual to realize and to know the reality, the substance of things unseen. Faith is dynamic. …Faith in God, translated as perception of the reality of God and His abundant life, is the bedrock on which this community is formed.”

“A fault which arises in human conception is to perceive God as an external force and thus to assume an attitude and a posture of passive waiting upon the Lord. One must learn patience of right timing but that patience itself is active participation in the rhythm and balance of the Divine stream and life.”

“Wise economic policy must be followed, coupled with absolute faith or perception of the reality of God’s abundance. …the money which you take in, and the money which flows out…all constitute God’s economics. They are His bills, they are His payments. But in saying this I do not absolve any of you from responsibility, the responsibility of being aware that your individual and collective consciousnesses constitute the physical presence of God and the vehicle of his actions.”

“…you are an organism. Within an organism energies must flow in a coordinated fashion. Let all who feel that this is a simply a community of separate beings restructure their thinking. You are a wholeness struggling to become aware of this fact…”

“The laws of manifestation must be understood and applied by all members of the community, applied with in individual life patterns and collectively. As you increasingly become an organism, the centre nourishes its members and they in turn through various means, most of which may not be financial, will nourish the centre.”

“Responsibility and wise stewardship we do counsel. Worry, we do not, for it represents the narrowing of the vision and an acceptance as a basic fact of the personal and even collective inability to deal with the problem. There is no problem that cannot be met, for the reality of its solution exists and can be perceived by faith and intuition released through faith.”

“You must know that you are working with God who is total abundance, not abundance beyond wisdom, but abundance through right use of law.”

“…there cannot be accepted by any member, who holds the well-being of the whole at heart, actions and attitudes which pit personal lack of vision, fear and anxiety against the well-being of that wholeness, You are all a part of a community to draw on the strength of the whole. There is no excuse for not doing so.”

“All who come to this centre must be prepared to give up all of their past, past modes of behaviour, to change, and transform. Unless this is so they have no reason to be in this centre, however great their other contributions may be.”
